The Government of the Balearic Islands and the Consell de Ibiza (Council of Ibiza Island) are organizing the 10 th International Congress of Phoenician and Punic Studies (XCIEFP) on the island of Ibiza, between the 17th and 21st of October 2022. Currently held every four years, it is the most important scientific meeting of Phoenician-Punic archaeology worldwide. For this coming edition, the tenth, the International Scientific Committee of the Congress has proposed the island of Eivissa/Ibiza as the new venue, with the Consell de Ibiza (CI) and the Archaeological Museum of Eivissa and Formentera (MAEF, a centre attached to the Government of the Balearic Islands) as the principal organising institutions. The Congress will be hosted at the Ibiza Conference Centre (Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza, https://www.palaciocongresosibiza.com/ibiza-congress-center/) located in the municipality of Santa Eulalia del Río. The project has also received the support and collaboration of the Ministry of Culture (Spanish Government), the City Council of Santa Eularia and the Ibiza Town Hall, as well as the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB).
The International Congress of Phoenician and Punic Studies, under the scientific presidency of Benjamí Costa (MAEF) and Joan Ramon (CI), is organized through an International Scientific Committee and a National Scientific Committee.
The official languages of the congress will be Catalan, Spanish, English, French and Italian.
